A favorite of serious photographers, this cover includes a velcro opening for attaching the camera/lens to a tripod, or to put your hand thru. It's sized to fit all SLRs with any lens you're likely to own, including the following favorites:

  • Canon 70-200/2.8 & 100-400mm IS lenses.
  • Nikon 70-200/2.8 & 80-400mm VR lenses.
  • Fits other lenses up to 11" long.
  • Useable with short lenses too (you just bunch up any excess fabric).
  • If you want to use an external flash, you can use our WHITE 16" cover with lenses up to 7" long. For lenses between 7" and 11" long (including most 70-200mm, 80-400mm, and 100-400mm lenses), please order our 20" Pro Camera Rain Cover - in WHITE.
  • Can be used with a video camera (lens hood recommended).

Key features:

  • Can be used for handheld or tripod shooting.
  • Made of "Silnylon" - click for more info, an extremely waterproof, ultralight, and strong fabric.
  • There's a velcro opening (with pull tabs) for attaching the lens/camera to the tripod thru the cover (or to put your hand thru).
  • Takes seconds to attach or remove.
  • Compact, flexible, & ultralight - weighs ~1 oz.
  • TTL flash (external or pop-up) works thru the WHITE cover, which also acts as a variable flash diffuser.
  • Works with lenses that rotate to focus.
  • The WHITE cover makes a handy sunshade. DSLRs produce images with less "noise" if you keep the camera's sensor cool.
  • If you use a viewfinder eyecup, you can close the back of the cover around the eyecup (as shown in photos of Pro 12" cover).

How the cover works:

The cover has an elastic cord & lock on both ends, and velcro on the seam that runs from the front to the back. You open the velcro & place the cover over the camera then attach the cover around the lens, and leave the back end open however much you want when you're shooting (the back opens to about a 10" diameter circle when fully open). If you use a viewfinder extender or eyecup, you can close the back of the cover around them!

NOTE - the WHITE cover is surprisingly transparent when it's held against something. You can see the dials & buttons when the cover is held against the camera.

Patent pending.

If you generally shoot handheld and want a simple cover, you may want to consider our Basic 16" Rain Cover
